Thanksgiving is meant to be an indulgent, joyful time spent with your family without a care in the world, especially any diet cares. Most of us may over-do it today and a perfect way to get your energy and flat tummy back as soon as possible is magnesium.  Magnesium helps speed up the digestive process. It also helps cleanse your liver which we most definitely need after consuming Thanksgiving goodies like alcohol and pecan pie. Almost every drug store has it (CVS or Walgreens). You can also find it at grocery stores and specialty shops like GNC and Vitamin Shoppe. So if you're feeling sluggish and backed up after this holiday, run and grab yourself some magnesium. It's best taken at night before bed since it is very calming and a potent stress-fighter. It can be used in place of sleeping pills; putting you to sleep and helping you stay asleep. The list of benefits from the miracle mineral magnesium go on and on. It also is not dangerous or hard on your system like many "cleanse" products and laxatives that can leave you extremely dehydrated and depleted.

It is best to start slowly since taking too much at once can cause stomach upset. 200-400 mg is recommended.
