Epsom salt baths

I highly recommend epsom salt baths for a variety of reasons. I do them 2-3 times a week with 12-15 minutes of soaking time. My skin has never been so soft, smooth and bump free. I also notice when I start to feel a little sluggish and run down it helps to revitalize me inside and out. Epsom salts draw out toxins and detoxify your body. They also help with circulation and speeding up your body's natural metabolism. In addition epsom salts have antiviral, antibacterial and anti fungal properties. Your body, mind and skin will thank you for adding this to your routine.

BENEFITS:

Epsom salt baths reduce water retention, bloating and help keep your stomach toned and flat.

Epsom salt baths cause reverse osmosis meaning your toxins and excess fluids are pushed out while the good stuff, magnesium and sulphate, gets absorbed through your skin.

Can prevent and ease migraine headaches.

Can elevate serotonin levels in the brain.

Relieves stress. Studies show it actually lowers stress hormones.

Relieves constipation.

Prevents razor burn.

Reduces inflammation and body pain.

Helps ease arthritic pain.

An all-natural treatment for herpes, warts or acne.

It speeds healing by detoxifying the body and can even increase your white blood cell count.

It can shorten the duration of the flu or a cold.

The magnesium in epsom salts help relax your muscles and flushes out lactic acid. Lactic acid is produced in the muscle tissues during strenuous exercise.

Softens skin and reduces the look of wrinkles.

They are cheap and can be purchased at any drug store or market place.

* If you are pregnant, nursing or diabetic it is advised to ask your doctor before using epsom salts.

WHAT IS IN EPSOM SALTS?

Epsom salts are rich in magnesium and sulfate, both being vital for proper bodily function.

Magnesium- Every single cell in the human body needs magnesium to function. Magnesium regulates calcium levels and aids in the absorption of vitamin D. It is also important for proper hormonal function, strong teeth and bones. It's vital for a healthy cardiovascular and nervous system. It is also needed for optimum detoxification of the body. Most people do not get enough magnesium in their diet. Being magnesium deficient causes many side effects including: insomnia, muscle spasms, anxiety, restlessness, panic attacks, agoraphobia, premenstrual irritability. Excess sugar, caffeine, alcohol and processed foods lead to low magnesium levels.

Sulfate- Sulfates play a role in brain tissue formation. Sulfate is needed for liver detoxification helps the body rid itself of environmental contaminants.
